Marymount Student Lauded for her Volunteerism

Peggy Wall, Marymount College freshman, was a finalist in the Daily Breeze People of Distinction awards. She is one of 20 remarkable people from a field of nominees who was heralded at a November 14 event sponsored by the South Bay newspaper. Peggy has been volunteering routinely for as long as she can remember. In her biography, presented by the Daily Breeze in their November 14 special section devoted to the finalists, said Peggy and her family have been volunteering through the Optimist Club and have worked in Chinatown helping out with the neighborhood carnival and other ways during the Christmas holiday.  In 2006 and 2008, Peggy received the President’s Volunteer Service Award for her years of service. read full article here.
